ANNUAL REPORT 2018-2019

 

1. We the entire fraternity of ATOMIC ENERGY CENTRAL SCHOOL NO-1 TARAPUR are honored and privileged to welcome you all to the Annual Day Celebration . Here we present the Annual Report for the academic year      2018-19

2.  Our strength is our student community.  It is their holistic approach that makes us strong. The total number of pupils in our school register is 737.

 

3. The building block and the gripping soul of an institution is a galaxy of intellectuals who are enterprising in all their deeds. We have a total staff of  33. All  teachers or preceptors play an integral role in the posterity of student fraternity.

 

4. It is my pleasure to inform that this year our tenth standard result was  100 percent.

6. Preparatory

Lets enter into the pristine world of the tiny tots. Our institution gives vital importance to the growth of the tiny tots because it’s an universal belief that well begun is half done. Our Prep and Pre-prep section celebrated almost all the important national festivals and they actively took part in various CCA activities and proved their innate potential.

7. Art.

Art is an astonishing skill that adds vibrancy and magnificence to one’s life. And our institution tries to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge. This year 100% students had participated in All India AECS Art Competition at AECS-1, Tarapur was entrusted with the task of organizing Maharashtra Drawing Grade Elementary and Intermediate Examinations. We had conducted this art examination. Totally 1150 students from 11 schools of Boisar appeared in this Examination.

8.Dance:

Dance is the hidden language of the soul. There is vitality and life force and uniqueness added to life through this synchronized world.  And we have been exemplary in the field of Dance. This year we were the host for conducting the All India Inter AECS Dance Competition. It was  conducted at AECS-1 Tarapur with the holistic goal to relive art through various dance forms.  This competition mainly aimed at creating a positive morale with an amalgamation of traditionalism through Folk Dance and modernism with Theme-Based Choreographed Dance. There were basically two categories for this Dance competition- the Junior Category with 28 teams. Many students participated to bring alive our cultural heritage and to showcase various dances with hard-hitting themes. On 4th Dec 2018 there was the Inaugural Ceremony of the All India Inter AECS Dance Competition. It  was inaugurated by Shri. A.K.Rajput, Site Director TMS and Chairman LMC AECS Tarapur, the Chief Guest of the day. After the inaugural Ceremony folk dance and choreographed dance  were presented. Their presentation was mindboggling and themes were based on various social issues like- Women Empowerment, Save the Earth, Flood, Cancer-Let’s Fight it, Old Age- Let’s care for them and Farmers- the back bone of our nation. After all the presentations for three days the judges provided brilliant analyses of how exactly folk dance and choreographed dance should be performed. They placed their observation by mentioning certain important points like there is no entrance and exit for folk dance, all should respect the props that are used, the choreographers should teach the students the relevance of each folk dance with the story behind it and choreographed dance should be a dance with a theme and  not  a mime or skit. These points were an eye-opener to the entire audience as it was a learning experience for all.The  Valedictory Ceremony of All India Inter AECS Dance Competition was conducted on 7th Dec 2018  The Chief Guest for  the day was Shri. A.K Rajput, Site Director, TMS and Chairman, LMC, AECS, Tarapur. In the felicitation ceremony all the participants were given participation certificate and the winners of  the Folk Dance and the Choreographed Dance were declared. They were awarded trophies and certificates.  Then the Overall Champions were honored with the overall Trophy.  The felicitation ceremony was followed by the address of the Chief Guest where he congratulated all the winners and appreciated everyone for their efforts. His motivating speech was inspirational for the audience. The entire event was a learning experience for all participants as it gave them a platform to realize their capabilities and ways to channelize and improve it.  

9. Lectures

A lecture on ‘Healthy Food and its Importance’ was arranged for the students of Classes IV and V. Mrs. Snehal Joshi, nutritionist TAPS Hospital enlightened the students on the importance of healthy eating habits.

10. Teachers’ Day Celebration

“A teacher affects eternity, he can never tell where his influence stops.”

To commemorate the birthday of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan , a philosopher and a teacher par excellence, Teachers’ Day was celebrated with all zest and fervour on 5th September 2018. Students of Class X organized the day with the sheer spirit of the occasion. They acted as teachers and shouldered their responsibilities. This was followed by a lively programme organized by the students of Class X.

Later a large get- together was organized by the Chairman LMC at the community centre TAPP 3&4 Colony wherein the teachers of all the three schools were felicitated. The LMC Chairman greeted all the teachers and felicitated those teachers who completed 25 years of service. The ceremony was made gleeful by diverse cultural programmes presented by teachers of all the three schools.

 

 

11. ACCLAMATION FOR 25YRS OF MERITORIOUS SERVICE:

Three of our teachers have been  honoured by AEES for their meritorious service for 25 years in the field of Education. They are

1.   Smt. BhavanaDilip Dale TGT (SS) who is a brilliant mathematics teacher and an artist par excellence.  She is a compassionate teacher and a very good poet who delivers poem in Hindi.

2.   Smt. Sangita R. Kondra PRT (SS) is a magnificent teacher and a wonderful organizer.  Her interest in art is showcased each time she organizes a programme.  And her true mark of professionalism is the ability to respect everyone else for their styles and always finding something positive in every moment.

3.   Shri Rahul K.Bansod Junior Librarian (SS) a librarian who takes initiative and pain to make library worth visiting.  He is a personality who makes a noble battle in the name of knowledge and enlightment. He nourishes our mind and soul with unlimited knowledge through maintaining the library in a good way.

12. Hindi

Hindi our national language is given utmost priority in our institution. As part of this AEES Mumbai had conducted various competitions for teachers on 1st Sept 2018 and for students on 10th Sept 2018. In this competition maximum number of students actively participated. And on 24th Aug Western Zone Hindi Science Quiz was organized by AECS-1,Tarapur. In it students of the three schools of Tarapur and six Schools of AECS Mumbai participated. And on 25th Aug all the winners were felicitated by the Chief Guest Shri. A.K.Rajput, Site Director, TMS and Chairman LMC AECS/JC, Tarapur. The competitions gave a good platform for the students to understand the importance of our national language Hindi.

13.SPORTS:

SUMMER SPORTS COACHING CAMP

Summer Sports Coaching Camp organized by the DAE Sports and Cultural Council and Atomic Energy Education Society, Mumbai  was conducted in AECS-1 from 1st April 2018 to 2nd May 2018. The basic goal of this camp is to sharpen the sportsman skill in each student. The camp was for Athletics, Basketball, Volley Ball and Table Tennis. The Chief Guest for the Valedictory Ceremony was Shri. A.K.Rajput, Site Director TMS and Chairman LMC, AECS Tarapur and the Guest of Honour was Shri. J.L.Singh, Chairman DAE Sports and Cultural Council.  The occasion pitch started with the welcome address by Smt. B.Gomathi, Principal AECS-1 followed by welcome song. Then a detailed report regarding the Summer Sports Coaching Camp was presented by Shri.  A.K Ajesh, PET(SS). After that students and coaches presented the feedback that helped in recounting the entire journey. All the students were felicitated with certificates. This was followed by address by the Chief Guest Shri. A.K Rajput who urged the students to follow the principles of sports in their personal and professional life. The Ceremony ended with Vote of thanks by the Shri. Bhimrao and National Anthem.

14. ACHIEVEMENTS IN SPORTS:

*In 35th Maharashtra State Inter District Basketball Championship for Boys and Girls Held at Shirke Ground and Sahu Stadium, Satara our students represented for the Palghar District.  The team members are:

* In the 10th Nihon Shotokan National Championship-2018 held at Talassery, Kerala Ms. Kushi bagged 3rd position in Kumite

15. THE INVESTITURE CEREMONY---LEADERS IN THE MAKING

Investiture ceremony is the first ceremony celebrated in an academic session to form the students council.  It is a swearing-in ceremony of the representatives of the students Governing Council. This year investiture ceremony was held on 4th May 2018 in the presence of Shri. A.K.Rajput, Site Director, TMS and  Chairman LMC, AECS Tarapur. The Chief Guest inaugurated the ceremony with the lighting of the lamp. This was followed by the welcome address .Then there was pinning up of the badges on the coat lapels of the team leaders followed by the oath taking ceremony led by the School Captain for boys.  The badges commissioned these leaders to lead through qualitative action and integrity of intent. Then the School Captain for boys delivered a speech that was an eye-opener to all the students. This was followed by address by the Chief Guest which motivated the budding lot. The Swearing-in Ceremony ended with the Vote of thanks by Shri. Bhimrao, Vice Principal, AECS-1.

16. Science, Social Science, Mathematics and Teaching Aid  Exhibition:

Science, Social Science and Mathematics Exhibition was conducted 12th July 2018 to enhance logical thinking, systematic reasoning and scientific knowledge of students.  The Exhibition was inaugurated by Shri A.K Rajput, Site Director, TMS and Chairman AECS, Tarapur. The main aim of this exhibition was EXCELLENCE THROUGH INNOVATION. All the exhibits were judged by a panel of experts from various fields. The participants meticulously prepared their exhibit and explained in a detailed manner.  The entire institution was brimming with energy due to the presence of enthusiastic participants and lively teachers.  The day served its purpose as is proved that innovation with optimism is the step towards progressive growth.

 

 

17. QUIZ COMPETITION:

*In Quiz Competition conducted by AEES, Mumbai Mast. Rajat Nair of IX Std bagged the 2nd position..

18.INDEPENDENCE DAY:

Independence Day was celebrated in AECS-1, Tarapur to pay our reverence to the sacrifices made by the great martyrs. The institution was brimming with the spirit of patriotism.  Smt. B.Gomathi, Principal, AECS-1 unfurled the national flag followed by the national anthem.  Speeches in Marathi, Hindi and English added patriotic fervor to the occasion.  This was followed by rendition of patriotic group song that created spectacular ambience throughout the premise.   The Principal opined by saying that Good governance does not start with THEM it starts with YOU and ME.  So if each individual will do their individualistic task there would  be more topnotch think tank that would play a vital role in the growth of our nation. Finally sweets were distributed followed by dispersal.

19. International Day of yoga  :

International Day of yoga  was celebrated by the staff and students of   AECS-1,  Tarapur on 21st June 2018 with full zeal and enthusiasm. Students of the secondary section and primary section participated in the event. A detailed description and demonstration of Asanas took place in the Auditorium for students and teachers. The Guest for the day was  Mr.Nilesh Mali (TM/F) who gave a detailed account on the importance of yoga  followed by prayer to calm and relax the body and mind. Then information was given regarding types of yoga and its benefits. This was followed by demonstration of various asanas by Mrs. Darshana, PET, AECS-1,Tarapur for the students of the primary section  who  followed the same with full concentration. After this a detailed description was given regarding Pranayaamam  and its crucial role in balancing and controlling our body. The description helped the students to connect with the role of Yoga in their physical and mental development. Then healthy refreshment was given to all with the message “Eat healthy and Live healthy.”   The day gave a platform for all the participants to realize the vital role of yoga and its benefits for the development of the personality.  Overall the Yoga Day served its purpose as it provided glimmers of hope to form a healthy and a disease-free society.

20.  WESTERN ZONE ENGLISH DEBATE COMPETITION:

Our institution was the host for Inter AECS Zonal Level English Debate.   It was inaugurated by Shri A.K Rajput, Site Director, TMS and Chairman, AECS Tarapur  on 24th  of August 2018. Six schools in Junior category  belonging to the Western Zone ie Tarapur and Mumbai participated in the Debate competition.  The topic for the Junior Level was Impact of Challenges on Social Media (like Momo, Blue Whale, Kiki etc) and stunts and misadventures taking precious young lives.The competition had three rounds Presentation Round, Rebuttal Round and Judges Round. These three rounds gave an opportunity for all the participants to showcase their in-depth knowledge regarding the topic. The expertise of three judges played a phenomenal role in judging the winners. The winners were felicitated on 25th Aug 2018 at the Valedictory Ceremony.  The Chief Guest for the day was Shri A.K Rajput, Site Director, TMS, Chairman, LMC, AECS, Tarapur. This event helped in making everyone realize about the POWER OF ORATORY AND COMMUNICATION  as it can sway the emotions of everyone.

21. QUAMI EKTA WEEK

QuamiEkta Week was celebrated in AECS-1 Tarapur from 19th Nov 2018 to 26th Nov 2018 with the motto of Communal Harmony and National Integration through unity among citizens. The National Integration Week pitch started with National Integration Day on the 19th of Nov with a special assembly were students of the secondary section spread the message of communal harmony through their speech. On 20th Nov Welfare of Minorities Day was celebrated where the students of the X std presented a skit with the theme that we as citizens should do our every bit to bring transformational change in the life of the minorities. The skit was so thought provoking that it sensitized the students on giving utmost importance to the minorities and develop them by providing a helping hand in all regards.  On 21st Nov Linguisitc Harmony Day was conducted giving priority to India’s linguistic heritage.. All the students were keenly listening to the poetic symposium as it was unique and interesting. On 22nd Nov Weaker Section Day was conducted with the mission to highlight the perilous life led by the weaker strata of society.  Students of the primary presented a poem on how the weaker section in our society are exploited and how we all can give them a helping hand during the time of dire need. On 23rd Nov Cultural Unity Day was conducted were the students of the preparatory section came in traditional dress for promoting cultural conservation.  Though the tiny tots were small their presentation was an eye-opener to one and all. On 24th Nov Women’s Day was celebrated where students came forward to the share the stories of great personalities who have played incredible role in the growth of our nation. The presenters through their speech showcased that even though in the past women were tangled around by many antiquated laws currently they have broken the shackles of conservatism and gained new momentum. On 26th Nov we conducted the Conservation Day with the message to conserve the environment.  As part of it our institution created a greener tomorrow by delivering speech on Save the Earth. This  entire week gave plenty of opportunities for all the students and teachers to realize the need for communal harmony.

22. SPORTS DAY:

ANNUAL SPORT DAY was conducted in our institution from 19th Dec 2018 to 20th Dec,2018 It was inaugurated by Shri. Manoj Joshi, Chief Superintendent, TAPS 1&2. Welcome address was delivered by Smt.B.Gomathi, Principal,AECS-1,Tarapur. This was followed by hoisting of AEES flag which symbolizes education, knowledge and team spirit.  After this all the four houses- JC.Bose House, HomiBhabha House, Vikram Sarabhai House and Abdul Kalam House were marching in unison and the captains were holding their respective house flags. The leaders were leading their teams with the feeling of responsibility and and pride. This was followed by the Oath Taking Ceremony where the Sports Vice Captain for Boys Mast. Hardik Tare led the other team members. Then the Chief Guest   addressed the gathering and conveyed the message that sports plays a pivotal role in the development of a personality so we must prioritize it at the topmost level in our life. Then the Sports Day was declared open by the Chief Guest. This was followed by Vote of Thanks by Shri. BhimRao, Vice Principal, AECS-1, Tarapur. This was followed by all the athletic events and relay. Students were felicitated as per the events and finally on 20th Dec 2018 Smt. B.Gomathi, Principal,AECS-1,Tarapur declared the meet as closed. The sports day ended with the hope that this platform will help produce good sportsman in the national and international arena.

23. NATIONAL POSTAL DAY: As part of national postal day students of VIIA were taken to the TAPS Post Office in order to teach them various activities that take place in the Post Office. This programme was organized on Oct 10,  2018 when the Government of India brought the change of Post Office to Postal Bank.  All the Students got a wonderful learning experience regarding the various procedures that is followed in the Post Office.

24.BHASHA SANGAM:  Bhasha Sangam, an initiative of Ministry of Human Resource, Dept of School Education and Literacy, Govt. of India under Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat prorgramme - Celebrating the Linguistic Diversity of India was conducted from the 11th Nov 2018 to 21 Dec 2018. On the first day an introduction regarding BhashaSangam was presented by Smt. Rajalakshmi Sridhar (TGT). The basic goal of this celebration was to give importance to Linguistic Diversity of India and make each student learn and understand few important expressions in each language. Each day in the assembly four basic expressions like How to greet a person? How are you? What is your name? etc. were taught in different languages right from Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Punjabi, Malayalam etc. Each day students were very curious to learn a new language.  This platform provided a simple but effective learning opportunity to the students to enhance the linguistic tolerance and respect and promote national integration. Thus this BHASHA SANGAM truly provided a new experience for students to understand the diverse languages that exist in India and its importance.

25. VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK: Vigilance Awareness Week was organized by NPCIL in the month of August 2018. With regard to this various competition like Poster Making Competition, Essay writing competition, Quiz and painting competition were conducted. The participation from students’ side was exemplary and this occasion gave them a chance to realize  the importance of ‘Vigilance’ or ‘Corruption -Free’ Society to build a strong nation.Shri.
